I told you in the last post on this series that as a believer, you have the power of God in you greater than the power of darkness. You must use this power that Jesus has given you to subdue powers of wickedness that are in operation around you. As a believer, Jesus has already given you that power. It is currently in you. Are you using that power? In this world, the forces against us are not flesh and blood but are principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph. 6:12).
You don’t need to offend a snake or a scorpion before it attacks. Similarly, powers of darkness are created to attack you even if you don’t offend them. Make sure you always carry the battle to the gates of the enemy. Don’t let the enemy carry the battle to your gates. You are strong and you are empowered by the authority of Christ in you. Are you suffering a form of affliction? Is the devil operating in your family, community, career, health, marriage, or studies? Use your authority as a believer and command the devil to stop his activities in your life.
If you haven’t given your life to Jesus, now is the time to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour. If you are ready to do this, pray this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I know that I’m a sinner and I come to you today. I repent of my sins and confess them to you (mention them). Jesus, I accept you today as my personal Lord and Saviour. I promise to serve you all my days.”
If you prayed the above prayer sincerely, search for a Bible-believing church of your choice and begin to fellowship there. Read your Bible and pray every day. You can reach me through apostlepaul@pkgm.org. You will always overcome the powers of darkness in Jesus’ mighty name. Catch you in the next post.
