Your Body Belongs To Your Spouse

Many married couples are oblivious of the fact that their body belongs to their spouse. I want you to know this: when you choose to deny your spouse sex without a valid reason, God is not pleased with you. The rate of divorce continues to increase every day globally, and this is one reason that contributes to it. Let's look at the Bible and see what it says about this:

1 Cor. 7:3-5 (NKJV)

“

Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

The above scripture tells the husband to show his wife every necessary affection (love) and tells the wife to do the same. It also goes on to say that the wife does not have authority over her own body to say no whenever her husband wants to have sex with her. In like manner, the husband doesn't have authority over his own body to say no whenever his wife wants sex from him.

When it comes to sex in marriage, neither of the spouses is greater than the other. Both husband and wife have equal rights to each other's body. The only valid reason sex should be stopped is if both the husband and wife agree to not have sex for certain reasons like fasting and prayer and prohibitive things like illness, among others.

If you are a husband or a wife reading this post and you like to torment your spouse by constantly avoiding sex, stop it now. Your body belongs to your spouse, as the word of God has said. I pray that the Lord will give you a deep understanding of biblical marriage in Jesus' name so you have the wisdom to live in it successfully. Let me list some of the reasons why you should not deny your spouse sex.

Reasons Why You Should Not Deny Your Spouse Sex

1. God says it is not good.
2. So both of you are stay in good companionship.
3. So your marriage can last forever.
4. So your prayers are answered.
5. So you avoid sexual immorality and infidelity in any of the spouses.
6. So Satan does not have his place in your marriage.
7. So you and your spouse are always happy.
8. So you avoid depression of your spouse.
9. So you avoid sorrow, regret, and trauma down the line.
10. So you avoid delay in childbearing.
11. Denying your spouse's sex without a valid reason is torture. It is also a sign of immaturity in your Christian faith and as a person.

Kindly take all of these above-mentioned points into consideration. The gates of hell shall not prevail over your marriage in Jesus' name.
