The world is ripe for harvest. Tis is not a harvest of corn, wheat, or barley. It is a harvest of souls. The time of harvest is a time of activity. It is the time to go to the farmlands and harvest crops because they are mature for harvest. If they are not harvested, they will perish. When pawpaws are ready for harvest but no one harvests them, birds and rodents will eat them. Similarly, when souls are not harvested into God’s kingdom in due time, they will perish in Christless eternity.
Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
In this scripture, Jesus says believers should not delay evangelizing, thinking they have much time because the world is ready for a revival and the harvesting of souls. Today's world has become a sin hub where various unimaginable sins and abominations are the norm. The global human society is fantastically corrupt with unrighteousness. God is searching for gospellers who will go where sinners are across the nations of the world and preach the gospel to them.
Who is a gospeller? A gospeller is an ardent preacher or supporter of the gospel of Christ. You can do three important things to support the gospel as a gospeller.
- You can pray for evangelism and missions.
- You can go for evangelism and missions.
- You can give into evangelism and missions.
If you are not involved in any of these things listed above, in honest faith, you should know that you are spiritually lukewarm. Jesus hates the lukewarmness of the spirit; He wants us to be spiritually hot and agile so that He can expand His Kingdom on earth through evangelism and missions. Millions of people are dying globally and going to Christless eternity daily. Many have not come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, the author of eternal salvation. As a believer in Christ, you should not sit on the fence. Be actively involved in preaching the gospel; Jesus gave the great commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:17). Be a faithful Christian; tell someone about Jesus today and God will be happy with you. Hallelujah!
