When God promises you something, He can choose not to immediately give you that particular thing. What He expects you to do is to believe Him for what He has promised you. He also wants you to wait patiently for the fulfillment of that promise. To wait is to stay where one is or delay action until a particular time or event. God will surely do whatever He has promised to do in your life, but He will do it in His own time and His way, not in your time or your way. God's thoughts are not your thoughts, nor His ways yours. Let's go to the book of Habakkuk.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.
In this scripture, the Lord tells Prophet Habakkuk that the vision (the promise) He gave him has an appointed time of fulfillment according to His plan. The Lord also says that the vision will speak and not lie—that is, it will surely come into existence, no matter what. He continues to say that although this vision might be delayed, Habakkuk should WAIT FOR IT because it will surely be a reality. God makes everything beautiful in its time (Eccl. 3:11) and his timing is perfect.
Are you in a difficult situation at this time? I want you to know that it will not be forever. Wait for the fulfillment of His promises in your life. Your problem has an expiry date. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy surely comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).
The Israelites served the Egyptians in labor and hardship for 430 years, but a day came when they became free from servitude. The Egyptians, against their will, were forced to release them in style and wealth to fulfill their prophetic destiny. Nothing has a beginning and doesn't have an end. It is only God that does not have a beginning or an end. He has existed before the beginning of time. Praise be to the Most High!
There is surely an end to every unpleasant situation in your life. See what the book of proverb says:
For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
The above scripture says that all your positive expectations shall not be cut off. This means that all your expectations will surely manifest. All you need to do is to wait for it. Put your faith in God. He will do it. Despite Job's harrowing experiences, he decided to wait on God to fulfill His promises.
If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, Till my change comes.
In this scripture, Job resolved in his heart that he would wait through the hard days of his test until God, the unchangeable changer, steps into his situation and transforms his life completely. Those who don't know how to wait cannot walk with God. God has fulfilled many of His promises in my life but I’m still waiting on some of them as I walk with him. I don’t bother myself about when and how He will do it. I just pray and wait. Child of God, you need to wait for God to do all that he has promised you. When you do, the book of Isaiah 40:31 will be fulfilled in your life:
But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
I see you going from strength to strength in faith and godly patience. Your time of victory and fulfillment of prophecy will be great in Jesus’ name. Rise and dance because victory is near. Hallelujah!
