It is rather unfortunate that in our modern society, the rate of divorce has increased astronomically. The majority of couples going into marriage are oblivious of the fact that marriage is not something temporary but it is forever. If your plan is to marry your partner for 2 years, 6 years, or any definite amount of time, don’t bother to go into marriage because you already have a wrong approach to marriage.
Marriage is not something you should rush into if you are not prepared. If you rush into marriage, you will rush out of marriage. Many couples prepare for weddings but not prepare for marriage. Marriage is not for boys and girls. It is for men and women who have mature minds. Wedding is a one day ceremony while marriage is a lifetime journey. Marriage is ‘TOGETHER FOREVER’ commitment with non-trivial implications. Marriage is I AM FOREVER YOURS and YOU ARE FOREVER MINE.

Luke. 18:1 (NKJV)But did He not make them one, Having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth.
“For the Lord God of Israel says That He hates divorce, For it covers one’s garment with violence,” Says the Lord of hosts. “Therefore take heed to your spirit, That you do not deal treacherously.”
This scripture reveals God’s purpose for husband and wife: one (united together) so as to raise Godly offspring (children). God also warned men not to deal treacherously (deceitful or disloyally) with their wives. And makes it clear that He hates divorce which is also a treacherous behavior towards your spouse.
As husband and wife, your togetherness and harmony makes God happy. It is only when husband and wife are purposefully together that they can raise their kids in the way of the Lord. To be continued…

If you have not given your life to Jesus, you can seize this opportunity and give your life to Him. All you need do is be sincere and confess Him as your Lord and Saviour. Then, he will turn your life aorund for good and make you a new person.
