The name of the Lord holds tremendous power to save sinners and do wonders. It brings total transformation in the lives of those who call on it. The Bible says:
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.
This scripture metaphorically describes God’s name as a strong tower, and it denotes that divine protection can be found in God’s name. When the righteous call upon God, they find refuge and are safe, just like those who are sheltered within a fortified tower. A tower is a narrow, elevated structure, often square or circular, that forms part of a building or stands alone, providing both shelter and a tactical advantage for looking farther ahead than those below for threats.
For us as believers in Christ Jesus, the name of Jesus is our God given equivalent of a spiritual strong tower. Jesus is the king of kings and the Lord of Lords, and by His name, we can receive all things we need. His name, Jesus, is a name greater than any other name, and demons and forces of darkness tremble at its mention. There is no difficult situation too big for the name of Jesus to solve. Even salvation is in His Name, Jesus.
For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
This scripture means that anyone who openly acknowledges and trusts in the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved. Are you yet to be saved and still living as a sinner? Well, so was I. But today, through the name of Jesus, you can be saved. Call unto Him, through His name, and confess your sins!
Are you sick or depressed? Are you at your lowest ebb? Are you disoriented and suffering from rejection? I want you to call on the name of Jesus right now because His name holds more power than your problem, and that name can crush every work of darkness set against you and bring you victory. The Bible says in Acts 17:28, “in Him we live and move and have our being”. Shout His name, “JESUS”, and let Him know your needs, and see His name work wonders in your life and situation. Hallelujah!
