Christmas season is here again, bringing it’s familiar joys: delicious meals, festive gathering and time with loved ones. Yet, beyond these joyous activities lie a deeper essence rooted in the story of Jesus' birth.
And when they had come into the house they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him; gold, frankincense, and myrrh
In this scripture, we witness account of wise men who sought the new born King from the East to worship Him. We also witness their generousity as they present precious gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to Him.
Jesus connects this story to the act of sharing in Matt. 25:40 and says that “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
There is a great lesson to learn here: Christmas is a season of sharing. Much like the wise men who shared precious gifts on Jesus' birthday, our acts of generosity echo the true spirit of Christmas. Jesus tell us to share with other people, especially the poor and the needy around us. We need to share what we have with others and give to them, especially the poor and the needy around us.
This Christmas, think about people who you know may need some help this yuletide season. If you can, extend your support to them—whether through finances, food, clothing, or a simple act of kindness. In doing so, you're not just giving to them; you're offering a gift to Jesus Himself. As you do these things, you can be certain that your gift to them will be as significant as a gift directly to Jesus and surely, God would be pleased with you and will unleash His blessings upon you.
As you engage in this season of sharing, be rest assured that God will be pleased with you and He will unleash His blessing upon you and your household. May your Christmas be filled with warmth, love, and the joy that comes from sharing. I wanna wish you a very merry Christmas and a blessed New year!
Are You Born Again?
If you have not given your life to Jesus, you can seize this opportunity and give your life to Him. All you need do is be sincere and confess Him as your Lord and Saviour. Then, he will turn your life aorund for good and make you a new person.
Awesome! That's great!
Say This Prayer With Sincerity:
Lord Jesus I come to you today and know that I'm a sinner.
I repent of my sins and I confess my sins to you today (mention them).
Jesus, I accept you as my personal Lord and savior.
I promise to serve you all my days.
Beloved, Welcome to the Body of Christ!
Congrats! Now, you are part of God's family and you have the holy spirit living in you. What you need to do now is to search for a bible-believing church around you and begin to fellowship there. Also, you need to get a Bible, and read it as well as pray everyday. You are mightly loved!
