The Prosperity Of The Wicked

There are many people in the world today who are prosperous but wicked. They are super-rich and can afford million-dollar expenses, but unfortunately, they don’t know God. The wicked is a person who refuses to acknowledge God as God and has made up their mind to do things their own way. The wicked is a person who dislikes or disregards righteousness.

Ps. 73:2-3 (NKJV)

“

But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; My steps had nearly slipped for I was envious of the boastful when I saw the prosperity of the wicked

The psalmist in above scripture describes how he almost stumbled and went astray because he was envious of the prosperity of the wicked. Child of God, there is no reason to envy the prosperity of the wicked (those who do not regard righteousness). If you do, you will surely fall like a park of cards. More so, see what the Bible says:

Ps. 92:7 (NKJV)

“

When the wicked spring up like grass And when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed forever.

This scripture tells us that the while the wicked spring up and seem to flourish, they will eventually be destroyed. This destruction means multiple things - eventual misery/struggle here on earth and ultimate destruction in the eternal fire of hell. It is unfortunate that today, many of us believers covet the wealth of super-rich people who hate God and anything associated with Christ. Are you a believer in Christ who is envious of the prosperity of the wicked? I want you to repent and allow God to have His way in your life. You will not stumble in Jesus’ name.
