Temple Of The Holy Spirit

The world today is a sin-driven society where all kinds of unimaginable evil are practiced daily. Most people believe that they own their bodies and so they should do anything and everything with their bodies. Many are addicted to fornication, adultery, masturbation, pornography, beastiality, swinging and other sexual perversions. See what the Bible says:

1 Cor 6:18-20 (NKJV)

“

Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

The above scripture is warn us to run away from sexual sin because sexual sin is unlike every other sin. Sexual sin is a sin we commit with our bodies. This scripture opens our understanding to know that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and every of it’s parts belongs to God so we need to glorify God with both our spirit and body. Do you practice any of the aforementioned sexual sin or any other that makes your body not glorify God? Determine in your heart to stop it now and ask God for forgiveness. Stay away from those sins and run away from any sight of them. You are empowered to glorify God with your body in Jesus’ name.

If you are yet to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, you need to make the most of this opportunity and do so today. Ready? Pray this prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I know that I’m a sinner, Jesus I repent of my sins, Jesus I confess my sins to you (mention them) Jesus I accept you right now and today as my personal Lord and Saviour. Jesus I promise to serve you all my life”
