Salvation Can Be Yours

Today, many people practice unimaginable evils without realising any need to stop their lifestyle of sin and turn to God. God loves everyone in this world and he doesn’t wish anyone to perish. He wants everyone to repent and come to the saving knowledge of Jesus. Why? Sin results in death. Fortunately, the God we serve is merciful and anybody can be saved regardless of the size of their sin.

What is salvation? Simply put, salvation is deliverance from sin and it’s consequences and it happens through faith in Jesus Christ. See what this verse in the Book of Acts says.

Acts 4:12 (NKJV)

“

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

In the scripture above, Peter made it clear to the elders of Isreal that there is no other way to get salvation other than through Jesus because no other name can save. Jesus is the author of eternal salvation. When a person repents and accepts Jesus as his or her saviour, that person is forgiven and given eternal life. The best part is this: you don’t need to go anywhere to receive eternal life. Salvation is very close to you right now. Before I tell you how you can get it, see what the Bible says:

Rom. 10:6-10 (NKJV)

“

But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

This scripture makes it clear that those who need salvation do not need to look around for Jesus. All they need to do is confess Jesus with their mouth and believe that God rose Him from the dead and they will be saved. Friend, if you want to be saved, all you need to do is to confess your sins to Jesus and believe in Him. Immediately, your sins will be forgotten and you will receive eternal life. If you are ready to do that, pray this prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I know I’m a sinner and come to you today. I repent of my sins and confess them to you (mention them). Jesus, I accept you today as my personal Lord and Saviour. I promise to serve you all my days.”
