In these last and evil days, many people spend their time doing things that are abominable to God. People waste their days on frivolous pursuits that have no eternal value. See what the book of Ephesians says:
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
The above scripture enjoins every believer in Christ Jesus to walk circumspectly which means to walk wisely and carefully. We don’t need to walk or behave like fools who don't know right from left, continuously involved in worldly pleasure that would entangle their souls. The Bible also discusses redeeming the time which means to buy it back or to regain possession of something (or time). Believers, you need to make the most of every opportunity at your disposal to do things that have eternal relevance and value. There are many things you can do as a believer in Christ to redeem time or make good use of time. Here are some of them:
Things To Do To Redeem The Time
- Live to please God
- Pray for all people
- Abstain from all appearance of evil
- Win souls for God
- Help other people
- Read and apply the bible
- Give to the poor
- Give to the kingdom project
- Pray that the will of God be done in the nations of the world
- Pray for the sick
- Deliver the oppressed
- Be committed in your local assembly (church)
- Love righteousness and hate wickedness
- Fast regularly
- Be led by the spirit
Doing these things will redeem the time and ensure you are never ensnared by the pleasures of the world. You are empowered to continuiosly walk wisely and circumspectly in Jesus’ name.
If you are reading this post and you haven’t given your life to Jesus, why don’t you make the most of this opportunity to do so? If you are ready, pray this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I come to you, Jesus I repent of all my sins. Jesus, I confess my sins to you (mention them) Jesus, come into my heart and reign in me. Jesus, I accept you right now as my personal Lord and Savior. Jesus, I promise to serve you all my days.”
If you sincerely prayed the above prayer, search for any Bible-believing church of your choice and begin to fellowship there. Read your Bible and pray everyday. Also, I would love to hear from you.
