Make Prayer A Daily Habit

The Bible urges us, as people of God, to pray without ceasing. Prayer is communication with God. Whenever you are in a dire need of a particular thing, talk to God about it. He has the ability to give you what you want if it’s according to His will.

Col. 4:2 (NKJV)

“

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;

This scripture urges every believer in Christ Jesus to continuously pray earnestly and give thanks to God while staying spiritually vigilant against the works of darkness. To pray earnestly is to pray with seriousness and determination. Don’t be casual when you pray. It’s serious business that can lead to victory. The God that we serve is a prayer answering God and when we pray with determination and in faith, God will grant our request.

1 John 5:14 (NKJV)

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

This scripture makes it clear that if we have faith (confidence) in God, whenever we pray and ask for anything that is in line with His will, He will surely do it for us. Unfortunately, many believers in Jesus Christ are not praying according to His will. The word of God is the will of God. We need to search the scriptures and discover His will for us so that our prayers will align with his word. God will answer because He always honours His word. His word is infallible and He will answer if our prayer aligns with His word.

There are many things competing for our attention every day. Despite this fact, we must ensure that we make prayer a daily activity even when it is not convenient. The best time to pray is when you don’t feel like praying. Don’t be weary! Talk to God about that difficult situation where you need His divine intervention.
