Jesus loved little children so much and enjoyed keeping company with them. In Luke 18, people brought little children to Jesus Christ so He would touch and bless them. His disciples saw this and started to rebuke them but Jesus told His disciples:
Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.
Jesus here encourages the young children to come to Him and warns His disciples not to restrain them because the Kingdom of God belongs to them. In other words, children have easy access to the kingdom of God (Heaven). Jesus also explains to His disciples that anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God, as a little child would, will not enter into it. Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour knows that there are certain special qualities that children have but grown-ups don’t and it is these qualities that make it easy for them to enter into the kingdom of God. See these qualities.
- Children are teachable
- Children are bold
- Children have a strong belief
- Children can easily adapt
- Children are loyal
- Children don't keep malice
- Children are willing to give
- Children don’t give up easily
- Children don’t see danger
- Children have a quick understanding
- Children are adventurous
- Children are joyful.
- Children have a pure heart
- Children have a tender heart
- Children can take correction
Time and space will not permit me to list other qualities of children but this list provides qualities to aspire for in our personal lives so the Christ-life is easier for us to live and heaven is easier for us to enter.
If you haven’t given your life to Jesus, take advantage of this golden opportunity and accept Him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour. If you are ready to do this, pray this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I know I’m a sinner and come to you today. I repent of my sins and confess them to you (mention them). Jesus, I accept you today as my personal Lord and Saviour. I promise to serve you all my days.”
If you prayed the above prayer sincerely, search for a Bible-believing church of your choice and begin to fellowship there. Read your Bible and pray every day. You can reach me through apostlepaul@pkgm.org. Continue enjoying serving God.
