I Will Not Be Afraid

In the world today, as the onslaught of the devil increases daily, there is a tendency for fear to grip our hearts continually. However, if you are a child of God and truly serve Him, there is nothing to fear. Why? Because Jesus said in the Bible: “Nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19). Let’s take a quick journey to Psalms:

Ps. 3:6 (NKJV)

“

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.

In the above scripture, David, a man who had fought many battles and won, said with his clarion voice that He will never be afraid, even if ten thousand warriors who were armed to the teeth came against him from all sides. This is because He knows too well that Jehovah Sabaoth who is God of the Angel Armies would strengthen him to discomfit them. There are three personalities you should not be afraid of. They are:

1. Satan
2. Demons
3. Human Beings

Child of God, do not be afraid of Satan because Jesus has defeated Him through His death on the cross. Jesus has given you authority over demons, rulers and powers of darkness in high places. What you need to do is cast them out of any place they occupy in your life. Don’t be afraid! Do it with confidence and see big changes happen in your life. Also, don’t be afraid of human beings because those of them who are willing tools in the hands of the devil have satanic and demonic power but that power is no match for the power of the Holy Spirit that is in you. Never reduce yourself to a slave of fear. Rise up and take your place as a child of the living God. Use your Authority as a believer over every work of the devil around you. You are a victor and not a victim. You are not one who gets afraid. Rather it is the devil and his demons that tremble before you. Go in confidence and never be afraid.

If you haven’t given your life to Jesus, here is a golden opportunity to do that now. Say this prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I know I’m a sinner and come to you today. I repent of my sins and confess them to you (mention them). Jesus, I accept you today as my personal Lord and Saviour. I promise to serve you all my days.”
