The majority of the world’s population sees nothing wrong with fornication. Many even believe that God is not a “killjoy,” and that having sex with a lover before marriage is just a normal part of dating or “catching cruise.” But this mindset contradicts God’s truth.
It is true that God created human beings as sexual beings, and He designed sex. However, God never intended for sex to be practiced without boundaries. There are divine rules and moral standards attached to it. For example, sex before marriage is a sin against God, and engaging in sexual relations with someone else’s spouse—even after marriage—is also a sin. God designed sex to be fully enjoyed within the context of marriage, between a husband and a wife, not between unmarried men and women.
Fornicators Won’t Inherit the Kingdom of God (Heaven)
Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
This scripture is a timeless warning for anyone who desires to spend eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven. It speaks plainly to all who hope to enter: Do not be deceived. Engaging in fornication or any form of sexual immorality disqualifies a person from inheriting eternal life. And this is not limited to sexual sin—any unrighteousness bars the way. Only those who repent, turn from sin, and pursue holiness will be granted entry into God’s eternal kingdom.
Temporary Pleasure vs Eternal Life
Revelation 22:14 confirms this truth:
Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
The phrase “those who wash their robes” refers to those cleansed by the blood of Christ and those living in purity and repentance. They are the ones who will enter through heaven’s gates. But the sexually immoral, the unrepentant, and the defiant will remain outside.
Let this truth sink deep: there is nothing in this world, no relationship, no pleasure, no fleeting thrill, worth losing Heaven for. Fornication may seem harmless today, but its consequences are eternal. Make up your mind, right now, to pursue sexual purity. Not for a season, but for life. Your eternal destiny depends on it.
