The world today is full of fake people. They are in your neighborhood, school, church, gym and you’ll often come across them online too. A fake person is someone who pretends to be someone or something they are not. There are many fake people today but genuine people are just a few.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
In this scripture, Jesus is rebuking the Scribes and Pharisees because they were hypocritical. He likened them to whitewashed tombs which appear elegant and clean on the outside but are deep within full of skeletons and much dirt. Jesus explains further that while they appear good outside, deep within, they are morally corrupt and full of lawlessness. Another word for fake people is hypocritical people or imposters.
