In this modern day and age, many people across the globe put their trust in riches. These people are oblivious that riches are not forever and the Bible particularly says that riches can grow wings and fly away like an eagle (Prov. 23:5). I have seen super rich people become paupers in a matter of seconds when tragedy struck. Riches and wealth are not reliable. Don’t put your trust in them! See the book of 1st Timothy:
Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
In the above scripture, Apostle Paul was counselling Timothy, his spiritual son, to warn those who are rich in his congregation not to be proud or put their trust in uncertain riches but rather, they should put their trust in the living God. Apostle, Paul knew through the inspiration of God that Riches can run out but God cannot run out and Riches are uncertain but God is always certain.
Do you put your trust in your riches and your material wealth? Are you obsessed with them or do they control you? If yes, you need to repent and turn to God right now. Lose your trust in your riches and put your trust in the Almighty God who will never fail. He will give you strength, comfort, and confidence that riches can never give you. Put your trust in Him now!
Have you given your life to Jesus? Why don’t you take advantage of this opportunity and accept Jesus into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour? It is only those who are in Christ that can put their trust perfectly in God. If you are ready to receive Jesus, pray this prayer with me:
“Lord Jesus, I know I’m a sinner and come to you today. I repent of my sins and confess them to you (mention them). Jesus, I accept you today as my personal Lord and Saviour. I promise to serve you all my days.”
If you prayed this prayer sincerely, search for a Bible-believing church of your choice and begin to fellowship there. Read your Bible and pray every day.
