Confess Positive Things

Every believer in Christ Jesus should confess positive things every day. The world is filled with so much negativity that it can make us speak negatively but we must teach ourselves to maintain a positive outlook and speak positively come what may.

Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’

Joel 3:10 (NKJV)

In this scripture, we see God encouraging the nations to rise up for battle by turning their plowshares and pruning hooks, both cultivation tools, into swords. He tells those who are weak among them to not see their weaknesses but rather confess that they are strong. Whenever you are going through a negative situation, God doesn’t want you to say the obvious. He wants you to say something positive.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Cor. 4:17-18 (NKJV)

This scripture tells us that no matter how big our affliction or trouble might be, it is so insignificant compared to the long-lasting, marvelous, and gigantic glory that will be later revealed in us. This means that our pain of today is the glory of tomorrow. We don’t need to look and fixate on the negative things we can see at this current moment. We should rather fixate on the things which we can’t see now because the unpleasant things we see now are temporary but there are pleasant things which we do not see now but are eternal and long lasting. No matter how difficult your situation is right now, I want you to begin to confess positive things and as you do, you will see God doing mighty things in your life. Glory to God!
