The Christian life is not a funfair. Rather it is a serious journey full of challenges and unpleasant situations. The very day you gave your life to Jesus and have been enlisted in God’s army, you have been moved from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. Satan, the ruler of the kingdom of darkness, knows this and he will never be happy about your deliverance from his kingdom. So he will begin and continue to wage wars against you every inch of your journey in God’s kingdom to ensure your life is miserable. He doesn’t want to see you thriving. He will instigate people against you to persecute you and you will face many tribulations to make you fall off the journey of faith. However, as a child of God, you don’t go backsliding. You are fortified by the grace and power of God greater than that of all forces of darkness. All you need to do is to develop a rhino skin against all forms of tribulations the devil may bring your way. Say no to all the devil’s attempts to bring you down and fight the good battle of faith! This is the definition of resilient and it is essential to winning your battle against the devil.
How do we learn resilience? By practice! In the army, every soldier undergoes hard training to prepare them for the difficult situation they may face in the future. In a similar vein, you will also undergo some training in the school of life to prepare you for a harsh future. Those training may wear you out but they will not wear you down. Jesus promised us a safe landing but not a smooth journey. The journey may be rough and difficult sometimes but it will eventually work for your good. See the book of 2nd Timothy:
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
The above scripture tells us believers in Christ Jesus to endure any form of hardship, difficulty,, and persecution as good soldiers of God. Are you going through a harrowing experience? Cheer up because your deliverer will surely come and save you. He made you right? And he told you to endure. Surely, he will save you. Stay with Him and stay in Him. Endure in resilience and know that you are not alone!
Are you yet to accept the Lordship of Jesus over your life? There is no value in beating around in your sin and struggles. God is ready to accept you as you are now. Will you receive his love and accept Him into your life? If yes, pray this prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I know I’m a sinner and come to you today. I repent of my sins and confess them to you (mention them). Jesus, I accept you today as my personal Lord and Saviour. I promise to serve you all my days.”
If you prayed the above prayer sincerely, search for a Bible-believing church of your choice and begin to fellowship there. Read your Bible and pray every day. You can reach me through apostlepaul@pkgm.org. Stand tall and Stay Strong 🔥.
