In the last post of this series, I told you how the people of Israel lived carelessly—worshiping idols and committing sexual immorality—and how these actions ultimately led to their destruction.
Child of God, I urge you: make up your mind to stand firm in the Lord and cast aside anything that can defile you.
How the mighty have fallen, And the weapons of war perished.
In this verse, David laments the death of King Saul and his three sons, who died in battle against the Philistines on Mount Gilboa. Saul started well, seeking guidance from God. But near the end of his life, he turned away and sought help from the witch of Endor. Because of his unfaithfulness, God departed from him, and he died as if he were never anointed.
Let me share with you some key principles that will help you stand firm in faith in these end times.
